Partner Highlight: Youth Era

Columbia Community Mental Health (CCMH) is committed to enhancing the overall quality of life for Columbia County residents through comprehensive health and wellness services. As part of our mission, we take pride in supporting and collaborating with organizations that share our dedication to our community’s well-being.

Today, we are proud to highlight one of our partners, Youth Era, and their incredible work for young people in our local community.

Youth Era is an organization making waves in Columbia County by supporting youth and young adults aged 12-25. Their innovative approach empowers young individuals to become leaders in their lives and communities, offering services that foster personal growth, leadership skills, and community engagement.

One of their initiatives is their virtual peer support program. This service creates a safe, nurturing space where young people feel heard, supported, and valued. By connecting with dedicated Youth Peer Support Specialists, individuals can build essential life skills, work towards their personal goals, and navigate the challenges of transitioning into adulthood.

Youth Era's impact extends far beyond peer support. Their programs in Columbia County offer a range of services designed to address various needs of young people in our community:

*They cultivate leadership and advocacy skills among participants through group activities and team-based learning.

*From homework assistance to resume building and interview practice, individuals are equipped with the tools they need for academic and professional success.
*They foster a sense of belonging and community by providing opportunities to make new friends and engage in fun activities such as playing games together.

Youth Era is helping to shape a brighter future for Columbia County. Their work benefits the individuals they serve while contributing to our community's overall health and vitality.

“Above all, our services are a safe space for young people to feel heard, supported, and capable of creating change.”

At CCMH, we’re proud to support Youth Era's mission to empower young lives. We encourage our community members to learn more about Youth Era and its amazing work. By actively supporting organizations like Youth Era, we can all work together to create a stronger, more resilient Columbia County for generations to come.
